Preparation is Key
Whilst learning to trade one of the most important aspects you need to be aware of is that of preparation.
It was once famously said that by failing to prepare we are preparing to fail.
Well let us help a bit and guide you through the important events during the week ahead.
A lack of data post NFP.
Monday brings very little activity in terms of data. We see a few final PMI sets of data for Europe as well as Sentix Investor sentiment. The afternoon sees FED member Dudley speak. Overnight we see the Australian Interest Rate decision followed by Tuesday, at the open, the release of German Industrial Production. Bank of Canada Governer Poloz speaks late in the afternoon but there is very little else to get excited about in terms of market moving numbers.
Wednesday remains quiet for the data numbers but we do get a 10 Year Auction from the US later in the afternoon.
ECB speakers and Veterans Day.
Thursday sees German export data followed by ECB member Couere speaking mid morning. That afternoon we continue to see ECB speakers in the form of Constancio and Lautenschlaeger but again no real US data of any interest.
Friday sees the majority of interesting data starting with a set of UK numbers. Output numbers get released at 9.30 UK time alongside Industrial and Manufacturing Production. US data comes in the form of Michigan Sentiment. It is, however, also worth noting that in the US it is a Bank Holiday in the form of Veterans Day so likely to be a very quiet end to an already quiet week.
